Magnum Beefsteak, bred by Chuck Wyatt, was carefully selected over many years for its large, blemish-free fruit and outstanding flavor. This indeterminate variety, with regular leaf foliage, requires extra trellising and support to manage its vigorous growth, making it an ideal choice for slicing. INDETERMINATE.
Companion plants: Basil, Parsley, Carrot, Asparagus, Alliums, Celery, Borage, Marigold, Calendula, Mint, Sage, Peppers, Dill (until mature).
Far from: Potato, Corn, Kohlrabi, Beet, Fennel, Peas, Squash.
Planting tip: Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before planting. Reduce water & nitrogen when hardening off. Staking required.
Harvesting tip: For best taste harvest when fully ripe, expressed its full colour. Can also harvest when tomato is green and expressed its 1st blush; if so, let tomato ripen off-vine above 21°C.
Storage tip: Store at 12-21°C, relative humidity 95%.
