A fragrant, fast-growing herb with broad, deep-green leaves and a strong, sweet aroma. Ideal for pesto, salads, or garnishing dishes, this standard market gardener variety features dark, glossy leaves. Its aromatic oils enhance both savory and sweet dishes.
Companion plants: Tomato, Peppers, Asparagus, Oregano, Purslane.
Far from: Rue.
Planting tip: Sow seeds 6 weeks before the last frost. Germination can take up to 8-14 days. Soaking in warm water for up to 12H is recommended for improved germination.
Harvesting tip: Pinch leaves as needed and encourages the plant to produce more. Flower impacts flavour so, harvest before. Encourage second-growth by cutting down 6” above ground.
Storage tip: Store at 0°C unwashed as washing turns them brown.
