About the Cherry Ember Tomato Seed Pack

This meaty, juicy and sweet heart-shaped cherry tomato charms with its metallic golden stripes on surprisingly firm, thick red skin. Developed by Phil Griffiths of Cornell university, it was selected not only for its beauty and delightful taste, but also for its resistance to cracking. Excellent variety for drying due to its low moisture content. INDETERMINATE.
Companion plants: Basil, Parsley, Carrot, Asparagus, Alliums, Celery, Borage, Marigold, Calendula, Mint, Sage, Peppers, Dill (until mature).
Far from: Potato, Corn, Kohlrabi, Beet, Fennel, Peas, Squash.
Planting tip: Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before planting. Reduce water & nitrogen when hardening off. Staking required.
Harvesting tip: For best taste harvest when fully ripe, expressed its full colour. Can also harvest when tomato is green and expressed its 1st blush; if so, let tomato ripen off-vine above 21°C.
Storage tip: Store at 12-21°C, relative humidity 95%.
